Section 01

Who We Are

This Privacy Policy explains how Strategic Bridge Consultants (SBC) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your personal information. It applies whenever you visit our website at www.strategicbridgeconsultants.com, submit an enquiry through any form or advertisement, contact us by any means, or engage our consultancy services.

SBC is a specialist UK education and student visa consultancy based in Islamabad, Pakistan. We help Pakistani students apply to UK universities and obtain their UK Student Visa. We are the data controller responsible for the personal information you share with us, which means we decide how and why your data is used — and we take that responsibility seriously.

Please read this policy carefully before sharing any personal information with us. If you have questions about anything in this document, you are welcome to contact us at any time using the details in Section 15.

A plain-language promise before we begin: We collect only what we genuinely need. We use it only to help you. We protect it with care. And we never sell it. That is the foundation of how we handle your data.
Section 02

What Personal Data We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of personal information:

  • Identity data: Your full name, date of birth, gender, nationality, and passport or CNIC number where required for visa or application processing.
  • Contact data: Email address, phone number (including WhatsApp), mailing address, city, and country of residence.
  • Academic data: Your current and previous qualifications, grades, institution names, graduation dates, and English language test scores (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, Duolingo, etc.).
  • Financial data: General information about your financial capacity to study in the UK, including bank statements and sponsor details, collected solely for the purposes of visa and university application preparation. We do not store payment card information — all payment transactions are handled separately via bank transfer.
  • Study preferences: Your preferred UK universities, subject areas, degree level (undergraduate, postgraduate, PhD), intended intake year, and budget range.
  • Immigration history: Any previous visa applications, refusals, travel history, or immigration status that is relevant to your UK Student Visa application.
  • Communication records: Records of your enquiries, emails, WhatsApp messages, phone call notes, and consultation session records.
  • Technical & usage data: Your IP address, browser type and version, device type, pages you visited on our website, how long you spent on each page, and the source that brought you to our website (e.g., Google ad, Facebook ad, organic search, referral).
  • Marketing preferences: Whether you have opted in to receive communications from us, and how you prefer to be contacted.

We never ask for more information than we actually need. Every piece of data we request has a clear, specific purpose.

Section 03

How We Collect Your Data

We collect your personal information through the following channels:

  • Website enquiry and contact forms: When you fill in a form on our website to request a consultation, ask a question, or get in touch with our team.
  • Paid advertisement lead forms: When you submit your details through a lead generation form on one of our Facebook, Instagram, or Google advertisements. This is one of the most common ways prospective students first contact us, and the data you submit is received directly and securely by SBC.
  • Direct contact: When you email us, call us, send us a WhatsApp message, or reach out through our social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, or LinkedIn.
  • Consultation sessions: Information you share verbally or in writing during a free or paid consultation session with one of our consultants, whether in person, by phone, or via video call.
  • Document submission: Academic transcripts, financial statements, identification documents, and other supporting materials you provide during the application process.
  • Automatically from your device: Technical usage data is collected automatically when you browse our website, using cookies, the Meta Pixel, and Google Analytics. See Sections 7 and 8 for full details of how these technologies work and how you can manage them.
Section 04

Why We Use Your Data

We use your personal information for specific, clear, and legitimate purposes only. Here is exactly how and why we use each type of data we collect:

  • To respond to your enquiry: When you contact us or submit a form, we use your name and contact information to get back to you promptly and answer your questions.
  • To assess your eligibility and profile: We use your academic qualifications, test scores, and financial background to evaluate your suitability for different UK universities and programmes, and to give you honest, personalised guidance.
  • To prepare and submit your applications: We use your personal, academic, and financial data to prepare your university applications and your UK Student Visa application to the highest standard. We submit these only to the specific institutions and authorities you have authorised.
  • To communicate with you about your application: Throughout the process, we keep you updated via phone, WhatsApp, and email about the progress of your application, any document requests, and important deadlines.
  • To send you relevant news and opportunities: With your consent, we may occasionally send you information about new UK university intakes, scholarship opportunities, visa rule changes, and SBC service updates. You can opt out at any time.
  • To improve our services and website: We use anonymised technical and usage data to understand how visitors interact with our website, identify areas for improvement, and make our content more useful and relevant.
  • To run and measure our advertising: We use tracking technologies (Meta Pixel, Google Ads tags) to understand which advertisements are bringing students to our website, and to manage our paid advertising campaigns efficiently. This helps us reach more students who genuinely need our help.
  • To meet our legal obligations: Where we are required by law, regulation, or a lawful authority to retain or disclose information, we will do so.
Section 05

Legal Basis for Processing Your Data

Every time we process your personal data, we do so on one of the following recognised legal grounds:

  • Your consent: For marketing communications, for submitting your details through our advertisement forms, and for sharing your data with partner universities or institutions. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us or clicking the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Performance of a contract (service delivery): When you engage our paid consultancy services, we process the personal data necessary to deliver those services to you — including preparing your application and communicating with universities and UKVI on your behalf.
  • Legitimate interests: To respond to initial enquiries, improve our website, operate our business, protect SBC from fraud, and measure the effectiveness of our advertising — provided these interests are not outweighed by your privacy rights. We carefully consider this balance before relying on legitimate interests.
  • Legal obligation: Where applicable law or a lawful authority requires us to retain or disclose certain information.
Section 06

Who We Share Your Data With

We share your personal information only in the following specific and limited circumstances:

  • UK universities and colleges: We share your academic profile and contact details only with the specific institutions you have explicitly asked us to approach on your behalf. We never send your information to any university without your clear instruction.
  • UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) / Home Office: We share your application documents and personal data with UKVI as part of your UK Student Visa application. This is done only with your knowledge and consent as part of the service you have engaged us for.
  • Our internal team: Your information is accessible only to the SBC consultants and staff directly involved in managing your case. All team members are expected to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Trusted technology and service providers: We use reputable third-party tools for email communication, secure document storage, and CRM management. These providers process your data only on our instructions and are required by contract to keep it secure and confidential. They are never permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
  • Legal and regulatory authorities: Where required by a court order, applicable law, or a lawful regulatory authority, we may be required to disclose certain information. We will always seek to minimise what is disclosed in such circumstances.
We never sell your data — ever. SBC does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise commercially transfer your personal information to any third party. Your data belongs to you and is used solely to serve your educational goals.
Section 07

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Like almost every professional website, ours uses cookies — small text files placed on your device when you visit — alongside other similar tracking technologies. Here is a plain-English explanation of what we use and why:

  • Essential cookies: These are required for the website to work correctly. They enable basic functions such as page navigation and form submission. You cannot disable these without affecting the website's functionality.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics): We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised data about how visitors use our website — which pages they visit, how long they stay, and how they arrived. This data helps us understand what is working well and what we can improve. Google Analytics does not receive any personally identifiable information from us.
  • Marketing & retargeting cookies (Meta Pixel & Google Ads): We use the Facebook/Instagram Meta Pixel and Google Ads tracking tags to measure whether our paid advertisements are reaching the right people and driving genuine enquiries. These tools may also enable retargeting — meaning that if you have previously visited our website, you may see SBC advertisements on Facebook, Instagram, or Google. See Section 8 for more detail on this.
  • Preference cookies: Used to remember choices you make on our website (such as language or display preferences) so your experience is more personalised on return visits.

You can manage, restrict, or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse all cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being placed. You can also opt out of Google Analytics tracking at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and manage your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.

Please be aware that disabling certain cookies may affect the performance of parts of our website.

Section 08

Meta & Google Advertising — How Your Data Is Used

This section is specifically for students who contact us through our paid advertisements on Facebook, Instagram, or Google. We want to be completely transparent about how your data flows in these situations.

  • Facebook & Instagram Lead Ads: When you submit your name, phone number, and email address through a lead form attached to one of our Facebook or Instagram advertisements, that information is collected by Meta on their platform and shared with SBC. We receive it directly in our secure CRM system. We use it for one purpose only — to contact you about your UK study or visa enquiry. We do not share this data with any other party, and we do not use it for any secondary purpose.
  • Google Ads: When you click on one of our Google advertisements and visit our website, Google's conversion tracking records the visit to help us measure campaign performance. This is entirely anonymised — it does not tell us who you are, only that someone clicked our ad and arrived at our site.
  • Retargeting & remarketing: If you have previously visited our website, you may notice SBC advertisements appearing on Facebook, Instagram, or in Google searches. This is managed through the Meta Pixel and Google Ads remarketing functionality. It is a standard digital marketing practice and does not involve sharing your personal details with Meta or Google. You can opt out through your own privacy settings on each platform at any time.
  • Custom audiences: From time to time, SBC may upload an encrypted (hashed) list of client contact details to Meta or Google for the purpose of creating a "custom audience" — allowing us to show advertisements specifically to existing clients or people with similar profiles. Before uploading, all data is converted into a one-way encrypted format. Meta and Google cannot read or access your actual details. This process complies with both platforms' advertising policies.
Your data from our ads is never sold. Any information you share through a Meta or Google advertisement is used solely by SBC to respond to your study enquiry. It is treated with the same confidentiality as data collected through any other channel.
Section 09

How Long We Keep Your Data

We do not keep your data a day longer than necessary. Below is a clear summary of our retention periods for different types of information:

Type of Data How Long We Keep It Reason
Enquiry data (no service engaged) 12 months from last contact In case you return to proceed with an application
Active client profile & consultation records Duration of service + 3 years To support any follow-up applications or queries
Application documents (academic, financial) Up to 5 years after submission To respond to any university or UKVI queries
Financial transaction records Up to 7 years Standard accounting and legal compliance
IP address & technical usage data Up to 6 months Website performance and security monitoring
Marketing consent records Duration of subscription + 2 years To maintain a record of your consent
Anonymised analytics data Indefinitely Used only in aggregated form to improve our website

When any data reaches the end of its retention period, it is securely deleted or permanently anonymised. You may request earlier deletion of your personal data at any time — see Section 11.

Section 10

How We Protect Your Data

We treat the security of your personal information as a fundamental responsibility. We have put in place appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Our current security practices include:

  • Encrypted data transmission: Information shared with us via our website or email is transmitted over encrypted (HTTPS/SSL) connections.
  • Secure document storage: Client documents and files are stored in password-protected, access-controlled systems hosted by reputable cloud service providers.
  • Restricted internal access: Only the SBC staff members directly handling your case can access your personal files. Access is role-based and regularly reviewed.
  • Confidentiality culture: All SBC team members are made aware of their obligations regarding client data privacy and are expected to handle all client information with the highest level of discretion.
  • Regular review: We periodically review our data handling practices and update our security measures as technology and best practice evolve.

While we take every reasonable precaution, no digital system is completely immune to risk. In the unlikely event of a data breach that poses a significant risk to your rights, we will notify you promptly and take immediate steps to contain and resolve the situation.

If you ever have reason to believe your personal data has been compromised, please contact us immediately at info@strategicbridgeconsultants.com.

Children & Students Under 18

Our website and consultancy services are designed for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18 through our website or advertisement forms without the direct involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

In practice, many of our clients are students between the ages of 17 and 22 applying for undergraduate programmes. Where a student is under 18, we require a parent or legal guardian to act as the primary contact, to consent to data processing on the student's behalf, and to take responsibility for all obligations under our Terms and Conditions.

If a parent or guardian believes their child's data has been submitted to us without their knowledge or consent, please contact us immediately at info@strategicbridgeconsultants.com. We will investigate and delete the data promptly if appropriate.

Section 13

Links to Other Websites

Our website contains links to external websites — including the UKVI website, individual UK university portals, UCAS, and other useful resources for prospective students. These links are provided purely for your convenience and reference.

This Privacy Policy applies only to SBC's own website and services. We have no control over, and accept no responsibility for, the privacy practices, content, or data handling of any third-party website. Once you leave our website by clicking an external link, your visit is governed by the privacy policy of that external site. We encourage you to read it.

Section 14

Changes to This Privacy Policy

The world of data privacy, digital advertising, and UK immigration services is constantly evolving. We review and update this Privacy Policy regularly to ensure it remains accurate, legally compliant, and reflective of how we actually operate.

The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will change each time a revision is made. Where a change is significant — for example, a new way of using your data, or a new sharing arrangement — we will make reasonable efforts to inform you directly, either by email or by displaying a clear notice on our website.

Your continued use of our website or services after any update to this policy will be taken as acceptance of the revised version. If you disagree with any change, you are welcome to contact us to discuss your concerns or to request deletion of your data.
